A Madisonville football player is recovering after suffering a neck injury during Friday's game against Cleveland.
Caleb Peveto suffered a fractured vertebra in his neck after making a tackle and underwent surgery this weekend at Saint Joseph Hospital in Bryan.
Pevetoe is the starting quarterback for the Mustangs as well as a strong safety.
Head Football Coach Greg Morgan says Peveto is back home from the hospital with no permanent damage.
He is expected to be back at school any day now.
