MADISONVILLE, Texas A bomb threat note found at Madisonville High School turned out to be a hoax, officials said.
Assistant Superintendent Bob Cope said the note was found in the AG building, located directly behind the high school, around 7 a.m. Friday.
Cope said students were immediately evacuated. Texas Rangers, local police and a bomb sniffing dog were called in to search the building, but no bomb was found.
Officials gave the all clear and students returned to classes.
Cope said at no time were the students in any danger.
On Thursday, students at Navasota High School were evacuated after a similar threat. The school was searched and cleared by authorities Friday afternoon, and students were allowed back into the building.
