Madisonville, TX- On Tuesday evening the Madisonville Police Department was contacted by the Houston Police Department and Houston Crime Stoppers about a dangerous felon in the community that was wanted out of Harris County for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to an anonymous tip and Houston Police Officer C. Martinez, Jason Denman 41, was allegedly residing at an address in Madisonville in an attempt to elude HPD and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
MPD Officer Greg McMahon and Cpl. Hector Camarillo quickly responded to the 1500 block of Highway 75 South and within 6 hours of receiving the tip, arrested Denman without incident. A potential dangerous suspect has been incarcerated and removed from the community. Denman is incarcerated in the Madison County Jail where he will wait for extradition back to Harris County.
“MPD prides itself in its proactive policing strategy and outside agency cooperation. Thanks to the help and communication from HPD and Houston Crime Stoppers, MPD was able to get a suspect off the streets before he was able to commit crimes in our community and against our citizens. MPD is always looking out for you, your family, and your property”, said Police Chief Chuck May.
