Highway 47 near Villa Maria Road has reopened following a major accident involving a dump truck and an SUV.
According to Bryan Police, the dump truck failed to yield the right of way and hit the SUV. The SUV rolled as a result and caught fire, but its driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to BPD.
A cat in the SUV did die, according to authorities.
The dump truck driver was not transported for treatment.
