From Bluebonnet Electric:

Power to all 3,000 Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative members in the Sandy Hill area completely restored at 4:15 p.m.
-----

- Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative is reporting a major outage affecting its customers in areas west and south of Navasota.

According to the company's online outage map, there have been as many as four outages affecting as many as 3,000 customers.

A company spokesman tells News 3 that the problem is centered around equipment failure at its Sandy Hill substation. LCRA Energy Services, which provides wholesale power to Bluebonnet Electric, is en route to the problem site with a mobile substation that will provide a by-pass for the failed equipment.

The company hopes to have the mobile substation installed by 4pm, at which point, lines will be re-energized in sections as not to overload the system. A company representative says the first customers should begin to see power come back at that time.

Repairs will be made to the Sandy Hill Substation and eventually the mobile LCRA will be removed.

You can monitor the outage in real time via Bluebonnet Electric's outage map.
