BRYAN - It has become a common crime, and Bryan Police say another person has been caught stealing copper wire, this time from Bryan Texas Utilities early Saturday morning.

A BTU employee says he spotted 35 year-old Terrance Scott stealing several rolls of copper wire shortly after midnight.

When Bryan Police arrived on the scene they say Scott took off running. He was chased down, arrested and charged with criminal trespass and evading arrest.

Police estimate the value of copper wire rolls that they say he was trying to steal at about $1,250.
