One person has died in an accident we first told you about Friday night.
Department of Public Safety Troopers have confirmed 19-year-old Jacob Eli Weise of College Station was killed after the 2005 Dodge Pickup Truck he was driving was struck by an 18-wheeler.
The accident happened around 8:30 Friday night on Highway 21 West in Brazos County near the Burleson County line.
Troopers say Weise was traveling on F-M 50 and pulled out in front of a Baker Hughes Oilfield Services 18-wheeler that was heading east on Highway 21 toward Bryan.
Weise was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan as was his passenger, 19-year-old Dustin Lane Tschirhart of College Station.
Troopers say Tschirhart suffered a collapsed lung and head injuries. A PHI Medical Helicopter was also called to transport one of the patients.
The driver of the 18-wheeler, Justin Travis Hughes of Magnolia, was not injured.
