A 22-year-old man has been arrested after barricading himself in a Corpus Christi apartment when police responding to reports of gunshots found an injured man in the parking lot.
Police say the 35-year-old who was found shot in the parking lot early Tuesday morning was taken to the hospital, where he died.
Policy say witnesses directed them to an apartment where the apparent shooter barricaded himself with a gun. That 22-year-old man surrendered peacefully after about an hour.
The Corpus Christi Caller-Times (http://bit.ly/Vr9EHV ) reports that the SWAT team evacuated residents in two nearby apartments during the negotiations.
Police have not released names of the man who died or the man in custody.
