CONROE, MONTGOMERY COUNTY 43-year-old George Vogel must serve three life sentences back-to-back after being found guilty on three counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. 359th District Judge Kathleen Hamilton made the ruling Tuesday morning in Conroe, TX. The judge stacked the sentences so that Vogel must serve one life term before starting another.
During the punishment phase of the trial, the 14-year-old victim testified that Vogel had repeatedly abused her by giving her alcohol and penetrating her with multiple objects. Vogel took the stand during the trial and admitted to abused the child.
Assistant District Attorney Cindy Pulcher handled the case. She's the Chief Prosecutor over Internet Crimes Against Children.
"The efforts of all involved, including Children's Safe Harbor and their dedicated staff, Detective Gordy, Deputy Evans, Deputy Hollan, and Judge Hamilton demonstrate how various departments can bring justice for a child. However, the real hero in this case is the child who found the strength to face the Defendant in Court," said Pulcher.
