Traffic has reopened on Highway 6 after a three vehicle accident that left one man pinned between a car and a guardrail on an overpass in Navasota.
The accident happened around 2:30pm near the intersection of County Road 413, when law enforcement officials say the man was stopped on the side of the southbound lanes of the highway, walking near his car. A second car was unable to stop and collided with the first. A third car then rear-ended the second car.
The pinned man was extricated and transported by ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan.
One lane of traffic was blocked for nearly an hour.
Grimes County Sheriff's Office, Navasota Police Department, and St. Joseph Emergency medical Services responded to the accident.
There are no reports of major injuries.
