A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect for Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Houston, Lee, Leon, Madison, Milam, Montgomery, Robertson, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Waller, and Washington Counties until 7am SUNDAY. 1" to 3" of rain, with localized totals between 5" & 7" will be possible as a slow moving, weak cold front arrives through early Sunday.
A College Station man is in jail after pulling a gun and assaulting a person walking to their apartment.
According to the arrest report, 18-year-old Michael Logan Brown approached two men walking to their apartment at Campus View Apartments early Thursday morning and tried to fight them. The two men ignored Brown and tried to continue, but, according to police, that's when Brown pulled a gun.
After pulling the gun out, Brown then discarded it and began to physically assault one of the men. Officers arrived shortly after the fight began. The victim had minor injuries and refused treatment.
Brown was arrested and charged with Deadly Conduct, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, and Class A Assault. He is in the Brazos County Jail under $12,000 bond.
