MONTGOMERY COUNTY A 12-year-old girl told police she saw her uncle, Joseph Samuel Branstetter, shoot and kill her grandparents at their home in East Montgomery County Tuesday night.

Montgomery County Sheriff's Investigators say that 24-year-old Joseph Samuel Branstetter returned to the home where they say he shot and killed his parents. 54-year-old Randall Branstetter and his wife 58-year-old Cathy Gibbs died from gunshot wounds, according to investigators. Mr. Branstetter was found inside the home and Mrs. Gibbs was found outside in the driveway in the 16000 block of Oak Knoll.

Investigators say that a 12-year-old girl called 9-1-1 Tuesday night after watching her uncle shoot her grandparents. She told sheriff's deputies that Branstetter, after allegedly shooting her grandparents, left the house in a vehicle. Before authorities could put a description of the vehicle, Branstetter showed up at the house and turned himself in to police. Sheriff's deputies say they found the handgun they believe was used in the killing with Branstetter when he returned.

Branstetter was arrested and charged with Capital Murder. He was taken to the Montgomery County Jail and is being held on no bond.
