COLLEGE STATION It took officers using a taser to arrest one man early Sunday morning outside a Northgate bar.
20-year-old Marcus Everett McArthur was arrested for resisting arrest, criminal trespass and public intoxication. According to the arrest report, the owner of the Social Bar asked McArthur to leave and he refused. The owner asked College Station police to remove him from the bar. Officers escorted him from the bar and instead of leaving, McArthur turned around and ran back toward the bar entrance.
Officers blocked the way, but McArthur shoved them in the chest to get past them. According to the police report, officers tried to grab his arms to handcuff him, but he pulled away. Eventually, officers took him to the ground and tried to arrest him, but he continued to fight back.
Officers had to use a taser to get McArthur to comply with their orders.
McArthur was arrested and taken to the Brazos County Jail under $6,435 bond.
