It was enthusiasm for Johnny Football that caused Michael Cordova to rewrite a classic Christmas song with an Aggie twist.
It's a song entitled "Johnny the Redshirt Freshman," set to the tune of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
His daughter Lydia, then belted out the parody at Aldersgate church Monday night, and it has gained quite the following among the congregation.
The song was inspired by the record breaking performance of Texas A&M Quarterback Johnny Manziel during the 2012 Inaugural SEC football season.
