The saying is everything is bigger in Texas, except for a herd of mini horses in town.
They may be small in stature, but they aren't in short supply of talent
Dozens of mini horses will be at the Brazos County Expo Friday, April 26 through Sunday, April 28.
People of all ages are participating in the mini horse show in hopes of making it to the national competition in Fort Worth later this year.
"They're not intimidating to kids," said Sheri Stutts, secretary for the Central Miniature Horse Club. "Kids can show these [animals] where they aren't intimidated by them or scared by them, like a big horse. These little guys just always want to be with you. They are so attentive and so social. "
The mini horses are a little more than two and a half feet tall. They will be judged on the way they look and move. Tomorrow's show will feature the jumping part of the competition where they will face a three and a half foot hurdle.
