Two Bryan Firefighters, Jason Treager and Ponch Gonzales, escorted 5 girls modeling clothes made by Gentry Gonzales onto the stage at Mitchell Elementary for the schools annual talent show.
At the end of the fashion show, the school presented them a check for over $500 that the kids raised for the Bryan Fire Dept.'s fallen and injured firefighters.
There was thunderous applause by students, parents, faculty and staff as they also gave the two firefighters, Treager and Gonzales, 7 very large envelopes overflowing with get well wishes for injured Firefighters Ricky Mantey and Mitch Moran, still at UTMB Burn Hospital in Galveston, cards of sympathy to families of Lt. Eric Wallis and Greg Pickard, and cards of thanks to for all the Bryan Firefighters, all hand made by the students of Mitchell Elementary.
