Montgomery County Homeowner Arrested for Marijuana Plants

On Monday, Montgomery County Sheriff Office Special Investigations Unit and the Precinct 2 Constables Office responded to the 100 block of Fish Creek Thoroughfare in reference to a possible indoor Marijuana Grow.

On arrival, they met with the homeowner and smelled a strong odor of Marijuana from inside the home. Upon searching the house approximately 170 marijuana plants were found in several rooms inside the house.

The marijuana was recovered and the equipment was dismantled and collected. The estimated value of the marijuana is $750,000.

Deputies found the electric meter was bypassed to operate the lights.

The homeowner, Hien Van Tran, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and those charges could be upgraded.
