AUSTIN -- Kenneth Latham, 47, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive, is now in custody after being arrested on Wednesday evening in Nash, Texas. Latham was wanted for simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of a controlled substance and parole violation. Since his capture was the result of a tip, a reward of up to $10,000 will be paid.
Responding to tip information, Nash Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop at approximately 9:30 p.m. Wednesday to locate Latham. At that time, he was arrested and taken into custody without incident. The Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division, Highway Patrol and Bowie County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrest.
So far in 2014, DPS and other agencies have arrested 10 Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives and Sex Offenders, including four gang members, and $34,500 in rewards has been paid for tips that resulted in arrests. The cash rewards are funded by the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division.
