About 150 mourners gathered for the funeral of one of the victims of the fertilizer plant explosion in Central Texas.
Mariano Saldivar was one of at least 14 people killed last week in the blast, which injured another 200.
The Rev. Ed Karasek said Tuesday during his eulogy at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West that the 57-year-old Saldivar was a devout Catholic and a family man.
Saldivar's wife is in Mexico and could not attend the service. He will be buried in Portland, Ore.
A native of Mexico, Saldivar lived in California until he retired in 2008 and moved to West to be near family, according to his obituary.
He lived in an apartment complex destroyed by the blast.
