On February 26th 2013 investigators with the “Strike Force” Narcotics Task Force assisted by other officers of the Grimes County Sheriff’s Department, the Navasota Police Department, The Texas Department of Public Safety, the Madison County Sheriff’s Department and the Madisonville Police Department executed two search warrants in Grimes County.

The first was executed at 9329 John Rice Drive Iola, Texas. Arrested were Bonnie Greer and Norman Greer. Investigators confiscated approximately 2 ounces of methamphetamine. Investigators also recovered a Lincoln Welder/Generator Combo stolen of Houston, Texas. Both Bonnie and Norman Greer were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in PG1 4-200 grams, a First degree Felony.

The second search warrant was executed at 11125 Devin Court Plantersville, Texas.

Arrested were:

1) Abel Aldrete, charged with Possession of Marijuana less than two ounces, a class B misdemeanor.

2) Cheryl Aldrete, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 2 4-200 grams, a second Degree Felony and Manufacture of a Controlled Substance PG 1 4-200 grams, a First Degree Felony.

3) Garrett Bo Reed, charged with Possession of Marijuana less than 2 ounces, a class B misdemeanor. Reed was found to also have an outstanding warrant for Motion to Revoke/Burglary issued out of the 85th District Court of Brazos County.

4) Justin Stewart, charged with Possession of Marijuana less than two ounces, a class B misdemeanor and Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 3 less than 28grams, a class A misdemeanor, and Possession of a Controlled substance in PG 1 less than one gram, a state jail felony. Stewart also had a parole revocation warrant.

Investigators recovered methamphetamine, LSD and marijuana from the residence. Also recovered from the residence was a John Deere riding lawn mower stolen from Montgomery County.

A county representative says cooperative narcotics enforcement efforts in Grimes County and Madison County are proving effective. The Task Force, in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies, has run multiple search warrants on locations that are involved in narcotics trafficking resulting in the seizure of significant amounts of narcotics and locating large stores of stolen property. These efforts will continue in an effort to stem the flow of illegal narcotics and the accompanying thefts, burglaries and other violent crimes that accompany the illegal narcotics trade.

The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, the Navasota Police Department and the Grimes County District Attorney’s Office along with members of the Narcotics Task Force assisted by agents of many local law enforcement agencies have been putting in many hours conducting undercover operations, surveillance, and targeted drug purchases from individuals who sell illegal narcotics and steal from law abiding citizens. These officers have started at the bottom of the drug world with street dealers and worked their way to the top traffickers/suppliers in Grimes and Madison Counties. In addition to seizing illegal narcotics and recovering stolen property, law enforcement in conjunction with the District Attorney’s Office are filing law suits to seize the homes and properties of these drug traffickers in an effort to prevent further criminal activity and to use the resources of these drug dealers to fund law enforcement activity.
