Emergency officials responded to a major accident Saturday at the intersection of Harvey Road and South Texas Avenue in College Station that involved multiple vehicles.
Authorities say two vehicles were attempting to cross into far lanes of traffic on South Texas Avenue near Harvey Road around 1:15 p.m., but the traffic was so heavy that they were stopped in the middle of the road.
An oncoming truck going south on Texas Ave did not make any attempt to stop, according to police, and crashed into the vehicles. In all, five were involved in the crash.
No life-threatening injuries were suffered in the crash, although some involved were treated.
The truck's driver was cited for failure to control speed, but a medical advisory was added by police because the driver said he had no memory of the wreck.
The scene of the accident was cleared around 2:45 p.m.
