LAREDO, Texas (AP) A search of a South Texas house has led to the seizure of nearly 3 tons of packaged marijuana.
Investigators in Laredo say nobody has been arrested following the discovery of the marijuana with a street value of about $4.4 million.
Homeland Security officials on Wednesday did not immediately say what information led officers to the residence. Authorities believe the pot was ready to be picked up and distributed when the stacks of packages were located Tuesday.
Authorities confiscated almost 5,600 pounds of marijuana.
