Bidding begins today for the coveted 12th Man License Plate.

Here's information from

"For the first, and possibly last, time, the highly coveted 7-letter plate 12THMAN is being auctioned to the highest bidder. The winner will own 12THMAN for ten years, with first right of renewal thereafter. And, unlike other Texas license plate messages, 12THMAN is fully transferable — meaning the owner can legally sell it at any time to someone else, hand it down to heirs, or transfer it among other family members.

Once this valuable message is won at auction, it could be gone forever. To participate to bid and create an account, click the GO TO AUCTION button above. Don’t miss your chance!

Why Buy at Auction?

The auction is being conducted online, beginning at 12 noon on August 12, 2013 and ending at 12 noon on September 12, 2013.

12THMAN will be sold for a 10-year term, with first right of renewal at the state’s everyday pricing.

The plate is fully transferable—not only can it be transferred from one vehicle to another, but the plate owner also has the right to sell 12THMAN to another person with the same on-going rights. As a result, this plate could be an excellent investment.

All auction proceeds benefit the Texas General Revenue Fund and Texas A&M University."
