It's a job switch between two Texas medical facilities.
Bud Wethington, the CEO of Tomball Regional Medical Center, will take on the same role at the College Station Medical Center at the end of this summer. Tom Jackson, The Med's CEO, is taking Wethington's job in Tomball.
In a statement from The Med, Wethington's work recruiting physicians, overseeing the opening of an outpatient imaging center, and an announced expansion of the Tomball emergency department by 3,100 square feet is noted. He started in Tomball in February 2012.
Jackson, who wraps up his work in College Station next month, was recognized for introducing a program for robotic surgery, helping develop an integrated campus with the Texas A&M Health Science Center, and overseeing a pair of expansions at The Med.
"We are grateful for his work to develop our hospital into a comprehensive healthcare provider that serves the College Station and Bryan areas," the statement said. "His deep healthcare expertise will be valuable as he assumes his new role."
