BRYAN - The headquarters of American Momentum Bank will be moving to Bryan.
Seven years after founding the bank in Florida, Chairman and CEO Don Adam has applied for a Texas Charter with the Texas Department of Banking.
“We strive to create jobs and value locally, so being headquartered in the Brazos Valley makes complete sense.”
Adam is certainly no stranger to the Brazos Valley. He founded the local cable provider, which is now owned by Suddenlink. In the late 80’s, Adam got into the banking industry and founded First American Bank. He sold the bank to Citigroup in 2004.
When Adam returned to Texas in 2009, he built a 10-story European-style office building on University, east of Highway 6.
American Momentum Bank has 17 branches in Florida and three in Bryan/College Station. The bank currently has assets of $1 billion.
