One person has been killed after their pickup plunged into an area river.
It happened around 8a.m. Monday morning on Old San Antonio Road at the Navasota River Bridge, about 9 miles west of Normangee.
DPS Troopers tell KBTX, 20-year-old Kevin Kitchens of Normangee was killed after his truck hit the opposite guard rail and plunged into the Navasota River.
Kitchens was pronounced dead on the scene. Investigators say he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
