It's a ring reunion Richard Walden of Conroe still can't believe.
The Brazosport High School graduate lost his 1983 class ring when he was 21-years-old during a night of swimming at Lake Conroe.
North Zulch Elementary fifth grader Colby Ashley found the ring during a family vacation this past summer at the lake and recently told his teacher about it.
After posting the find on Facebook they heard back from Walden less than a day later.
"I was going somewhere where I wasn't supposed to by the Conroe Lake and I went to this hole and I found it," said Colby Ashley, an 11-year-old North Zulch resident.
"Good deal. I lost that over 23 years ago. Never thought I'd see it again. I can't thank you enough, that's a lot of memories. I worked many years to get that ring," said Richard Walden, of Conroe.
Walden paid about $110 dollars when he bought the ring in high school.
He plans to pass it down to his own son one day.
