Northgate Polyphony Promises Great Singing and Great Travel

By  |

The Northgate Arts Consortium, parent organization to the Northgate Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, is excited to announce the formation of a community-based youth choir called Northgate Polyphony.

This new ensemble will be under the artistic direction of Dr. Sterling Allen and will be accompanied by Dr. Jungjin Kim.

The choir will rehearse and perform a variety of music (both sacred and secular) throughout the year and will conclude their first season with a seven day concert tour to Walt Disney World. Each student that participates for the full year will go on this tour for free as a reward for their hard work.

Polyphony is open to all students in the 6th-12th grades with an interest in singing. To be part of this ensemble, students will participate in an open call audition on May 7, 2014 at 4:30-6:30pm. Our current plan is to accept 100-singers for the Fall. Students selected will participate in a retreat on August 8-10, 2014 and regular rehearsals will begin Wednesday, August 13th from 4:30-6:00pm.
