After five arrests related to a robbery and kidnapping in College Station, authorities now say they're looking for a sixth suspect.
Thursday, CSPD asked for the public's help in finding Jeremiah Maxey. The 27-year-old black male stands 5'11" and weighs 185 pounds. He is wanted on two charges: burglary of a habitation with intent to commit a felony, and aggravated robbery.
Ricky Lawrence Jingles, 29 from Hempstead, Michael James Perry, 26 from Houston and Johnral Lester Gordon, 30 from Houston, were arrested on October 13. Early that morning, they allegedly took Nicholas Ashford Johnson from around Holleman Drive and FM 2818 and headed for Houston. The group was stopped in Navasota by authorities there.
Then on October 17, two College Station residents were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. Johnson (the kidnapping victim) and Candise Claireshon Brooks, 23, were reportedly involved in a failed drug deal.
Police believe Johnson, 30, had asked Gordon to rob someone. Gordon, Jingles and Perry allegedly came to College Station to do just that, but investigators think two people not included in their plan robbed the victim of marijuana while showing a gun. Gordon, Jingles and Perry are believed to have kidnapped Johnson when they thought he was trying to keep them from getting their proceeds from the robbery.
CSPD did not release how Maxey is specifically alleged to have been involved in the incident.
If you have any information on his whereabouts, you're asked to call CSPD at (979) 764-3600.
