One Teen Killed, One Taken to Hospital After Montgomery County Crash

MONTGOMERY COUNTY- A crash in Montgomery County leaves one teenager dead and another recovering in the hospital.

DPS Troopers say it happened shortly after 10 p.m. Monday night on White Oak Orchard near the community of Cut and Shoot.

Authorities say a 14-year-old girl was driving a Pontiac G-6 at a high rate of speed when she ran a stop sign, lost control and hit a tree head on.

Her passenger, 15-year-old Anthony Gomez, was partially ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene.

The female driver was taken to the Conroe Regional Hospital in stable condition.

DPS says there was not an air bag on the passenger side of the car.

The accident remains under investigation.
