The public will get a chance to see the Emancipation Proclamation signed by President Abraham Lincoln 150 years ago.
The Proclamation declared that all slaves in states rebelling against the Union were to be "forever free."
The document goes on display for three days at the National Archives in Washington starting tomorrow.
