Overturned 18-Wheeler Shuts Down Northbound Highway 6 near Hearne

The northbound lanes of highway six near Hearne are back open after they were closed for several hours today because an 18-wheeler carrying ceramic tile overturned.

According to a DPS spokesman, the truck driver said he lost control of the rig after his leg cramped up.

No word on possible charges, if any, at this time.


Authorities have shut down northbound lanes on Highway 6, near Hearne, after an 18-wheeler carrying ceramic tile overturned.

Authorities say the big rig is laying over railroad tracks near the highway. The driver is out of the truck and walking around.

Two northbound lanes are shut down, but traffic is still flowing. No back ups have been reported.

The situation is still under investigation.
