COLLEGE STATION The company that owns the restaurants, Pappacito's, Pappadeaux, and Pappas Bar-B-Q is about to put down some roots in College Station.
The College Station City Council has approved a land use change from institutional to general commercial for the Scott and White Clinic at University and Glenhaven to make room for a Pappas Restaurant.
Local attorney Cully Lipsey, who represents Pappas, told News 3 that Pappas, Incorporated has signed a contract to buy 4 and a half acres where the Scott and White Clinic now sits across from the Fish Daddys Restaurant on University Drive.
Lipsey says he doesn't know which Pappas restaurant might build there, but has been told by Pappas that it usually builds a Pappadeaux seafood restaurant when it first enters a market.
One of the Pappas brothers, Harris, graduated from Texas A&M.
