COLLEGE STATION - At least a dozen people had a little too much fun on New Year’s Eve and ended the night in the Brazos County Jail.
Seven drivers were arrested on DWI charges. Four were arrested by College Station Police, two by Bryan Police and one by State Troopers.
Bryan police arrested 22-year-old Jake Wesley for DWI after he ran the red light at S. Texas and Villa Maria. They say he was in a hurry to get to Whataburger. Bryan police also arrested Jorge Dominguez-Sordia on DWI charges after he ran a stop sign and then stopped on the wrong side of the street.
State Troopers stopped a man going 91 mph on Highway 6. They say Ricardo Luna’s BAC was .136. The legal limit is .08.
Five people were arrested for public intoxication. One of them, Gustavo Sanchez-Collado, was also charged with resisting transport when College Station Police say they had to drag him kicking and screaming out of the patrol car.
