COLLEGE STATION - Police arrest a man they say stabbed a nurse at College Station Medical Center.
Officers responded to The Med at 3:00 a.m. for a report of a stabbing. But the victim was someone working at the hospital, not someone who had been stabbed and then transported there.
According to police, 23-year-old Yuchen Lei stabbed an on-duty nurse while he was being treated. Hospital employees disarmed Lei and detained him until police arrived.
While being questioned, police say Lei spit in the officer’s face.
Lei was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Harassment of a Public Servant.
