A top Texas A&M executive who Governor Perry wanted to be the University's next president has resigned after not getting the job.
Guy Diedrich has resigned his position with the A&M System as Vice Chancellor for Strategic Initiatives. That position had a salary of $300,000 a year, and it reportedly won't be filled in spite of his absence.
Diedrich is the third A&M executive to leave since December. Regents chose Mark Hussey as interim president over Diedrich.
