BRENHAM - Harvest season is in full swing at area wineries and that means some great opportunities for us to get out and see what goes into the wine-making process.
Pleasant Hill Winery in Brenham hosted a grape-picking event this weekend, and it was open to young and old alike. Customers got to pick their own grapes and stomp them to their hearts' content.
"That experience is something that's on a lot of people's bucket list. And we started this 13 years ago and it's made this our busiest season of the year," said Pleasant Hill owner Robert Cottle.
This is the first weekend out of four that wineries are hosting events, so if you didn't make it out today, you still have some time to enjoy the picking and stomping of grapes.
