Many gathered Sunday afternoon to celebrate the 116th anniversary of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in College Station. Pleasant Grove Baptist Church opened for church services back in 1896.
Two women, both 92, were also honored at the celebration for their dedication to the church.
Mrs. Robbie Clark and Mrs. Edward Lee were also baptized at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church on the same day. Clark and Lee have been active members of the church for more than 83 years.
