A College Station man has bonded out of jail after being arrested on possession of child pornography charges.
Police say a mechanic found inappropriate pictures of children in James Daves-Peterson's car. They say a warrant was issued to search his home, where police found hundreds of child porn images on CDs and DVDs.
Police reports say when asked if Daves-Peterson had seen child pornography on his computer, he claimed to have only "inadvertently" come across the pornography by means of internet site redirects.
Brazos County jail records say Daves-Peterson was first confined on February 15th and bonded out of jail Tuesday. The bond was set at $100,000.
