Police Investigating Death of Cameron Junior High Student

The Cameron Police Department is investigation the death of a 12-year-old juvenile.

At 9:00pm Wednesday night, Cameron Police responded to a 911 call of a young male, not breathing and unresponsive.

Officials arrived on scene and attempted to perform CPR.

The male was later transported to the Central Texas Hospital where he was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace Sam Berry.

Foul play is not suspected in the death. The body has been transported to the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office

A name for the juvenile has not been released but he is a student at Cameron Junior High. Grief counselors have been contacted for the family and will be available at school Thursday.
