Police: Man Attacks Girlfriend with Ceramic Bowl

COLLEGE STATION - Police have arrested a man for allegedly hitting his girlfriend with a broken, ceramic bowl.

Mario Pedro Yax, 25, of College Station, is charged with one count of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Family Violence).

According to police, Yax hit his girlfriend in the face with a 6-inch ceramic service bowl during a domestic disturbance Tuesday night in the 3000 block of Texas Avenue.

The victim, a 32 year old female, suffered a broken facial bone and a cut to her face.

Yax turned himself in about 10:35 a.m. Wednesday.
