A standoff with police is over in Killeen.

Killeen Police took a man into custody just before 5:00 a.m. Monday.

Killeen Police responded to a domestic dispute at a home in the 3600 block of Tatonka Drive around 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

The street was shut down as police and swat team members negotiated with a 33-year-old man inside.

Police report a man and woman living inside the home were arguing when things turned violent. A child inside the home was unharmed.

The woman fled the house and called police and reported the man threatened to commit suicide.

Killeen Police said the man might have had a weapon and could be a danger to himself or to neighbors.

Six homes were evacuated overnight as the standoff continued. Killeen Police report the man did not make any threats to officers.

Displaced residents were advised to report to the Killeen Community Center.
