Escaped Montgomery County Prisoner Spotted Overnight

Tuesday 11 a.m. Update:
Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputies say that there was a sighting of escaped inmate Britt Privatte last night around 11:00 PM along railroad tracks. Deputies concentrated a search today in the soutern portions of Conroe near South Loop 336 and Interstate 45.

The escapee is believed to be wearing blue jeans and may be barefooted.

Monday 7 a.m. Update:
Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputies say that escaped inmate Britt Privatte was spotted in a wooded area near the county jail overnight Sunday.

The sightings were called in to the Conroe Police Department. Callers say there was a suspicious male in the area that matched the description of Privatte. Authorities say he could be wearing boxer shorts and a long sleeve t-shirt.

The Sheriff's Office says that Privatte should be considered dangerous.

Investigators are looking for a prisoner who escaped early this afternoon from the Montgomery County Jail.

Lt. Dan Norris with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says about 1 p.m. 40-year-old Britt Chadvurn Privatte was reported missing.

He was last seen in the recreation yard of the facility. It is believed that he scaled the wall and broke through the fencing to the roof.

Sheriff’s deputies say Privatte should be considered dangerous. He had been arrested by the Houston Police Department on Jan. 7 along with two other suspects in connection with a bank robbery in the Kingwood area.

Privatte is charged with four counts of aggravated robbery, escape while arrested, burglary of a habitation and order of arrest in connection with four different cases in three counties.
