If you own property in Brazos County, expect a tax bill in the next few days. More than 94,000 property tax bills will be mailed out this week.
When you get your bill, county officials urge that you check it to make sure it's right and reflecting the property you actually own. If you don't receive a bill that doesn't release you from your taxpayer liability.
The regular deadline for property tax payments is January 31, but if you can't pay it in one lump sum, you can split payments up. The first payment is November 30th of this year, and the second payment is due by June 30th of next year.
