HILLTOP LAKES – The saying goes, there is no place like home. So imagine what home is like for our soldiers coming home from overseas.
Specialist Owen Thornhill has been in Afghanistan for about a year. He returned home to Hilltop Lakes Tuesday for the first time since time deploying. He's still recovering after being shot in the side.
The public was invited to come out and welcome him home. The Lions Club put out flags and the VFW yellow ribbon.
If you didn't make it out there, check it out tonight on News 3 at 6:00.
