BRYAN- A record number of people attended the 21st Annual Feast of Caring fundraiser for the Brazos Valley Food Bank.

It happened Tuesday at the Brazos Center in Bryan.

A modest meal of red beans and rice, sausage and salad was served to everyone.

While the meal was provided free of charge, those who showed up for today's lunch were encouraged to make a donation.

And this year a record $48,000 was raised.

The servers included members of local media, law enforcement and some of our community leaders.

News 3 was proud to take part in the fundraiser.
