COLLEGE STATION- This could be a good indication of an improving economy.
The Bryan-College Station Chamber of Commerce had a record number of businesses show up for Wednesday's job fair at the Hilton Hotel.
54 potential employers for job seekers set up shop, including KBTX Media.
And many of those looking for employment were students about to enter the real world.
Mikal Sanchez is a Blinn College student who attended the job fair.
"I really recommend people coming to job fairs, seriously. You get job applications to different jobs, you meet different people. Usually people will go to job fairs and they'll see things they might like that they never even thought about."
Bryce Rees is graduating from A&M in a month. He says, "It's been great. Everyone I've talked to has been real nice, real helpful, showing me all the job opportunities, taking my resume and giving me opportunities to contact them, keep trying to find jobs."
