COLLEGE STATION, May 1, 2013 — The Texas A&M Foundation invites women of all ages to attend to its second annual Women, Wealth and Wisdom workshop at the Memorial Student Center on the Texas A&M University campus on Friday, May 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free event is designed to empower women to take charge of their financial and estate planning.
“Women today are an active financial force—earning, managing and distributing more wealth than ever before,” said Angela Throne, gift planning officer at the Texas A&M Foundation and co-chair of the event. “It’s important that every woman take control of her financial and estate plans to ensure long-term security for herself and her loved ones.
“Last year, the Texas A&M Foundation received an overwhelmingly positive response from the more than 190 women who attended the free seminar.”
Workshop sessions include “Getting the Most Out of Social Security,” “A Woman’s Perspective on Investing” and “Financing Long-Term Care.” This year’s event will include a keynote address by Rebecca Miller, a former lecturer in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences and a graduate of Texas A&M’s College of Geosciences.
The event includes breakfast and lunch, but registration is required. For more information, click here or contact Carrie Keller at (979) 845-5869.
