Reports: Manziel to be Suspended for First Half of A&M Opener

TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY Multiple reports indicate Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel will be suspended for the first half of the Aggies' first game of the 2013 season.

The information was first reported by TexAgs insider Billy Liucci and later confirmed by other outlets including CBS Sports' Bruce Feldman.

Manziel had been under investigation by the NCAA for allegedly receiving money for autographing memorabilia.

Texas A&M plays Rice in the season opener Saturday at noon.

Neither A&M nor the NCAA have released a statement.
