IRVING, Texas (AP) Retail gasoline prices across Texas have held steady this week at $3.12 per gallon
Triple A Texas on Thursday reported the statewide figure compares to a national average of $3.30 per gallon, which is down a penny from last week.
The most expensive gasoline statewide was in Fort Worth at $3.19 per gallon. The industry survey found Amarillo has the cheapest price at the pump at $2.98 per gallon.
AAA says prices in some areas have increased due to extremely cold weather causing refinery issues. Officials say subzero temperatures have also decreased demand for gasoline, which could put some downward pressure on prices.
